Both the second and third double page spread have the left page as just one large, powerful image. The second double page spread is from a rap magazine called 'The source' and the third double page spread is from another rap magazine called 'XXL'. Both of the images used are long shots of one or two artist and they are both on light backgrounds this is to make the artist stand out and make the image appear more dominant. I am going to use the idea of having the left side of the double page spread as one image in my magazine because I think that is the right image is used it makes the whole double page spread look outstanding and it gives the double page spread life. Another reason I'm going to use the large image on the left page is because it instantly tells the reader what artist the double page spread is about and depending on what the artist is doing in the image it can even give them a sense of what the article on the right page is going to be about.
